Lines are sheathed with a clear plastic cover for a clean look and to prevent debris from working into the stainless braids. The clear sheathing permits visual inspection of the lines to check for wear or discoloration (evidence of heat damage). Line ends are a heavy-duty steel with swaged line fittings that provide a secure connection. In our years of experience in racing and the performance BMW industry, we have seen several specific failures from typical stainless brake lines.
