Product Information
The F80 M3 and F82/F83 M4 come from the factory with the Li-Ion battery, drastically limiting your replacement options. The good news is that a more traditional battery can be installed by utilizing an IBS battery ground cable and then registering the battery as normal. This kit includes the required IBS ground cable needed for the retrofit.
Please note: You must register the battery upon installation, including the AH rating of the battery. Failure to do so can result in premature failure of the new battery. Programs such as ISTA, Bimmerlink, and advanced scan tools can be used to register a new battery.
