Will the sending unit fit on a Ford FE 1962 352,or 390 engine, what is the dimensions of the sending unit, looking at replacing the original sending unit , space is limited.

The sending unit for this gauge is the 2242. It measures at 3.25 in long from end of threads to tip of sensor, and 2 inches in diameter. The thread size is 1/8 NPTF and includes a ¼ NPT adapter bushing. If you have clearance issues, the sender can be remote mounted. We would usually recommend a short length of braided line for this like our 3227, 3228, or 3229.

Hello,
The 1628 is an electric gauge that includes a separate sender that features an 1/8" NPT fitting.
We offer a mechanical version of this gauge, model 1621, and it features an 1/8" NPT fitting directly off the back of the gauge.
