I just received this item, i have not opened the packaging, but it appears that water can get in to the instrument around the reset button. is this device water resistant? Application to be motorcycle, so exposed to rain.

This is an automotive gauge and is not designed to be in the weather. Our pro-cycle gauges are designed to be more water and vibration resistant for mounting on a motorcycle. They can be found at: https://www.autometer.com/gauges/pro-cycle.html

Hi, If I calibrate this over 2 km instead of 2 miles will this speedo then read KPH?

Hi Terry, thank you for the question. Yes, this will work. If you drive 2 kilometers during the calibration process, the range will function as a km/h speedometer. Keep in mind this still may not pass certain local regulations that require a km/h speedometer.
