Product 2205 DESCRIPTION:
Finding the perfect place to mount your AutoMeter gauge has just been made easier. Using AutoMeter's Omni-Pod gauge cup, you can mount your AirDrive, digital, or digital stepper motor gauge anywhere you see fit. The Omni-Pod can be mounted on top, or under the dash. The bendable base allows the mounting cup to be contoured to nearly any surface. The possibilities are endless.

Will this pod hold a 2640 transmission temperature gauge in regards to the depth?

Unfortunately this cup will not work with a 2640 or any other short sweep electric gauges. I would recommend taking a look at part number 2204 as a solution to mount your 2640.

Hello, I am thinking of switching to this mount from the pedestal as I would like a lower profile mount. Can you please tell me what the height measurement of low profile mount from the base to the top of the cup? Also the height difference of the two?

Thank you for contacting us. The overall height of the 2205 cup is 2.625”, but that will slightly vary depending on the angle you have the cup. The difference would depend on whether you are comparing the standard mounting cup (2203/2204) or the 48009 pedestal cup.

Thank you for your question. The pod uses an adhesive to mount so you would just need to turn it upside down and mount it under your dash.

Will this low profile gauge mount work with your 6188 shift light? If it does how would you best mount it to a steering column on a 2015 Mustang?

Thank you for your question. The depth is 1.850 inches, which is notable smaller than our metal cups which are are around 2.6" in depth.

Thank you so much for contacting us. Unfortunately the Omni Pod will not work with a mechanical gauge. Due to its smaller size, it will only work with our Digitial Stepper Motor and Digital gauges. You could use this ES boost gauge with it:

Are these cups tampered? for example, if I only need an inch or 1.25" cup depth, can I trimmed these down and still hold the 2 1/16" gauge? Thanks

Hi Brett, thank you for reaching out. There is a very slight taper, but we would not recommend trimming or cutting down the 2205 cup in any situation. It's already a very shallow cup at 1.850 inches compared with our metal cups, which are around 2.6" in depth.
