For use with all Mechanical, Full Sweep and Short Sweep Electric gauges. For mounting Water Temperature gauge senders or probes in 1" or 1 1/4" Radiator hose. This kit is ideal for vehicles with limited access to water passage ports on the engine. Temperature port threaded for 3/8" NPT. Includes 3/8" NPT adapter for mechanical AutoMeter temperature gauges.

Your instruction pdf states that a fitting adaptor in not included, yet the picture shows one threaded into this hose adaptor. I'm planning to purchase a C2 Stepper Motor temp gauge that includes the sensor. Do I need to buy a separate fitting adaptor?

When looking at the instructions you can see we include the 3/8" NPT adapter. As for the one stated "not included" it would come with the gauge you are inquiring about.

Hello, I have this adapter installed on my 2003 Chevy S10 with an 3/8" temp sensor installed to control two electric fans. Does the ground wire included need to be install to make the fans activate in this new location with this adapter?

If the sender that you are using has its own ground, then you would not. However, if it does not, and needs to be grounded, then we would recommend you use the wire to help ground the sender.

Can you remove the brass fitting insert and if you do will that be 1/2 fip. My stock sending unit is 1/2mip not 3/8 mip

Thank you for contacting us. No, the port is 3/8” NPT. We would have always preferred ½” but the design of the hose adapter wouldn’t allow for that size port.

What thread size is the stud that is included in this kit for the ground wire?

Thank you for your question. The lug connector for the ground wire is a #8 terminal crimp.

Hi, I want to use this adapter with a mechanical water temp gauge, can you tell me how deep is the bung? The sensors I have measured are 1-1/2 long & it seems it may bottom out. Thank you.

Thank you for your question. This unit is made to be compatible with AutoMeter mechanical temp gauges, so the probe will not bottom out. It threads onto the 3/8" NPT adapter of this unit using the 3/8" NPT adapter the mechanical gauge will come with.
