not happy
this is my 2 tact, 1 one was a pro comp i had it for 2 or 3 years, when the needle fell off,so my wife bought me another one for christmas, i just got car back together, tring get a couple hits on it about the 3 one it needle fell off of this auto gage,i i e-mailed autometer this what he said---Hello,
If it is a high vibration application it can shake the needle off. I would recommend buying and AutoMeter brand tachometer rather than one from the autogage line.

I am running a Vertex magnito and using a MSD magnito tach adapter . My problem is at idle the tach is fine but once off idle the needed bounce's all the time .

Hello, thank you for your question. I do not recommend grounding the tachometer and adapter to the engine block to eliminate the needle bounce.

Wanting to mount this on my steering column, can this be mounted using band/hose clamps? Not wanting to drill any holes in my car.

Thank you for your question. You can most certainly use a band clamp in order to keep the gauge mounted on your steering column.

Hey! I wonder if this product fits my Harley Davidson Vrod Vrscf Muscle 2013? If this product does not fit you have someone else then Autometer shiftlight for my Vrod? . Very grateful for the quick response from you because it is a bit acute!

Thank you for your question. Your 2013 Harley will have a CANBUS system. We do not have anything available that will work with that system.

Thank you for your question. We would not recommend this gauge for use on a motorcycle as it is not water resistant. We would recommend getting a tach from our pro-cycle series. Keep in mind, newer model Harley's, around '14+, use a CAN system that none of our instruments will be compatible with.

Is this compatable with 1970 mustang and will it hook up to the 12v resistor? Is the mounting for dash mount or can it be mounted in other areas?

Thank you for your question. Yes, if you have a standard ignition system, you can get the tach signal directly from the negative side of the coil and it will work just fine for your application.
