hello I bought this gas fuel for a Chevrolet Caprice model 89, it was not read correctly, does it need to change the float or is there a sensor setting unit to work properly?

This gauge is meant to read a sensor that is producing 0 ohms at empty and 90 ohms at full. If the sensor that you have is not showing that, the gauge will not read correctly. We would advise checking the ohm range of your sending unit and making sure it is compatible. If they are both 0-90, then please contact our tech department for troubleshooting.

Thank you for your question. We have a large variety of gauges to choose from. I would recommend one of our programmable fuel level gauges, as that would be the only gauge style that would work for your application.

Thank you for your question. We would not have this available with a brushed silver face and the Chevy bowtie. To go over what alternative gauge options are available, you can contact our support team at https://www.autometer.com/contacts or 866.248.6357

Thank you for your question. The gauge requires 12v power, ground, and then a wire to the sending unit. The gauge is not made to work with OEM wire harnesses but it sould certainly be compatible with your sending unit.
