Does a water temp gauge work the same as a oil temp gauge? Need to know because I believe the water temp gauge we have is bad and would like to eliminate this by using the oil temp as the water temp gauge to eliminate the gauge

Thank you for your inquiry. The 3855 water temp gauge will also read the temperature of oil if the sensor is exposed to it.

Running mid 60's SBC w/single wire elec. factory gauge reading L to H. I'd like to add this but maintain original working gauge .Will included sender also power factory gauge if wire/connector is spliced in?
