Autometer Fuel Pressure Isolater Kit 300PSI

Product 5282 DESCRIPTION:
This AutoMeter High Pressure Fuel Isolator is required when running a fuel injected engine with a mechanical fuel pressure gauge mounted in the vehicle interior. This isolator assembly mounts between the gauge and the fuel pressure port on your regulator or fuel rail and translates fuel pressure readings to the gauge keeping flammable materials out of the passenger compartment. This brass bodied version from AutoMeter is safe for competition use, and includes -4AN fittings, 4 ft. of PTFE lined braided stainless hose, fill kit hardware. and instructions for proper setup.
Feature Points
Safe for use with pump and race gas formulations on fuel injected applications with a maximum operating pressure of 100 PSI.
Not for use with Alcohol, Nitromethane, or Diesel fuels.
Includes -4AN male fitting connections, 4 ft. PTFE lined braided stainless hose, and fill kit hardware.
Brass construction.
Dimensions: 1.5 in. Diameter, 3.25 in. Length (including fittings).

Tough setup
Getting the system to work properly was a little tricky at first. I had to completely start from scratch with the fluid to get all of the air out of the system, but once that is done, it's great. It's nice to have a fuel pressure gauge in the cab of my off-road vehicle

Works well in most applications
Line is too short for some applications so I wish there were options for longer lines. Adding antifreeze to the longer line and getting the air out was a pain. However, in the end it works great.

Hello I have fuel idolator part # 5282 with a bypass with the fuel pump off the gauge still reads pressure with the pump on it takes time to read full pressure ?

How accurate can I expect this to be if I take some adapters and hook it up to a 2242 sending unit and pro-comp oil pressure gauge? This is still on a fuel system. I just like the 2 5/8" Pro Comp stuff with amber lights because they're easy on my eyes.

This is only used with our mechanical gauges and not our electronic units. I would recommend looking at our braided line kits.

Is the line supplied with the isolator for the gauge connection? Do you supply a line for the fuel feed side into the isolator? About 2-3 ft long with 1/8 or 1/4 AN filling?

Thank you for your inquiry. The isolator comes as shown with the 4 foot braided line to go between isolator and gauge. The correct 3 foot line for the fuel side is 3227:

What is the recommended autometer 100 psi fuel gauge that will connect with your isolator # 5282. I'am installing a Holley Sniper fuel injection system and want an in cabin fuel pressure gauge. Do you sell a kit?

Can this kit be used to isolate a mechanical oil pressure gauge, such as the type found in classic Chevrolet trucks?

Hi Mike, thank you for the question. This isolator is designed specifically for fuel and we have no official experience with how it would function with oil. In theory it seems like it should, but not something we can recommend.
