AutoMeter vehicle speed sensors generate the signal you need to make installing an AutoMeter electric speedometer in your vehicle quick and easy. Compatible with Ford transmissions with a plug-in style speedometer cable output, this vehicle speed sensor outputs a 16 pulse per revolution (PPR), 12v square wave signal. Featuring a mechanical cable output, this sensor has the ability to retain the mechanical cable in applications with mechanically driven cruise control.

Not as advertised
Terrible. Incredibly large and bulky. Doesn't fit into a 65 mustang. Had to weld a new shifter rod just to work around the sensor. Doesn't look this big in the advertised picture.

Should the collar on the drive key sit flush against the sensor? when I put the sensor gear on the cutout for the retaining clip does not go all the way down past the shoulder and the clip won't clip into it like it should.

If the drive key is too long on one end, you can move the collar using a drift punch for proper fitment.

Hi There, While we have not tested this on VDO to have a 100% answer, this speed sensor creates an electrical signal for electric speedometers.

Your C6 can have either a "push in" or threaded cable fitting. If yours has the push in type, use this one:
