Modification to an original dash can be a daunting task. AutoMeter makes it easy with a range of direct fit replacement dash panels that perfectly house AutoMeter instruments. Precision engineered and machined in the USA from billet aluminum, these panels drastically simplify the process of gauge installation while providing a clean, timeless look.
Feature Points
Fits one AutoMeter 3 3/8" instrument and four 2 1/16" gauges.
Direct Fit gauge adapter plate replaces original instruments in 1965-1966 Ford Mustang and accomodates 5 AutoMeter gauges.
Machined from billet aluminum.
Retains factory bezel. 1965 models not equipped with Pony or GT interior option will require 5 gauge OEM trim bezel from that option pack (not included) to utilize this adapter plate.

Planning on your Ford Racing gauge set and using the direct fit dash insert on my 1966 Mustang. Understand this is used with the stock bezel? Gauges sit behind the stock bezel? Want to be sure before purchasing.

I’m sorry I did not reuse the stock speedometer I instead installed an auto meter tachometer so I really can’t help you.

Do the turn signal lamps and sockets come with this unit?. if not what will work.

The turn signal lights and sockets do not come with the unit, the stock wiring harness has the stock signal lights and sockets which can be easily adapted to the unit.

What are the chances that this part fits a 1963 Ford Falcon Futura?

Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, we have no experience with the '65-66 Mustang insert on a '63 Falcon Futura. Unless these are known to share the exact same dashboard/instrument layout, it's very unlikely you'd have much luck without some significant modification and customization to your dash.

what would be the correct gauge set to use for a 65 mustang, stock application in WHITE with mechanical speedo? What else would I need other than this bracket? I don't want to do the install a second time. Thank you.

Hi there, thank you so much for the question. A white series featuring a mechanical style would narrow your options down to Phantom or Phantom II. Keep in mind this insert does retain and require the original bezel.
