Would these work with any 5" AutoMeter gauges? I'm looking to install the Sport Comp speedo and tach into my '49 truck, and these would make that a breeze if they do work.

These mounts will allow you to install any in dash 5 inch autometer gauges in a 47-53 Chevy Truck.

This 7039 is for Chevy trucks. It will not fit your '48 Chevy car.

Hi Tyler, thank you so much for contacting us. These rings literally slip on the gauge's chassis and make the bezel a tiny bit wide as the holes in your factory dash are just a tiny bit larger than the gauges. It's about as easy of an installation as there is. The stock AutoMeter mounting hardware is all you need. Here's a pick from a truck in Hot Rod that used this setup:
