I have a Phantom 2 water temp gauge, do I need to calibrate the gauge to get it to read properly?

can i tap into the purple wire (signal wire) to log the 5volt signal on another device with out affecting the gage reading ?

Thank you for your inquiry. It is not advised to connect other devices to the signal wire, as the added load is likely to make our gauge as well as the additional device inaccurate.
