I purchased a standard GM speedometer cable for use with your 5" speedometer and the paper work indicates the the male drive is 0.104" but the cable appears to not match the gauge. What cable is needed and where would I get one if you do not see them ?

Unfortunately we have no data on your 64 Merc to determine compatibility. You would have to check the threads on the OEM speedometer.

I would like to install this adapter on my transmission. my question is how far will this adapter stick out from the speedo connection on the transmission. I see the product size but have no way to know what dimensions go with what side.

Thank you for your question. This device can be assembled either standard rotation or reverse rotation. If you are using this in standard rotation the distance from the end of the threads for the speedometer cable to the end of the grease zerk is 2.5 inches.

hello sirs. I have GMC trans and transfer where the speedo gear rotates clockwise, but my speedo in the dash rotates counterclockwise. Do you think this adapter will solve my problem and reverse the rotation in my dash. Thanks.

This 990414 is designed for right angle drive at the back of our mechanical speedometers.
We don't know if this would work with your OEM speedometer. For assistance, contact Speedometer Service at 414-463-6660.
