Rear Trunk AeroCatch Latch & Mount Kit

AeroCatch trunk mount solution for BMW race cars but can also be used on almost any other race car trunk lid.

These are our own rear brackets and the AeroCatch 220 latches similar to the setup found on BMW Motorsport M4 GT4 race cars and our own F32 435i race car. With the design of many modern BMWs there is no good place to mount old-fashioned spring latches (there's no sheetmetal below the trunk edge). Many cars use AeroCatch or similar pin-style latches but this requires an inner bracket to mount the pin.

Our kit uses a pair of brackets that are welded to the rear trunk sill. The brackets are “hinged” to set the angle just right for the AeroCatch pins. Decide the ideal place to mount your AeroCatch and pins and then weld the brackets to the inner trunk frame. Paint to match your bodywork and you'll have a sleek and simple AeroCatch mounting solution.

While we developed this on a BMW F32 coupe it can be adapted to other cars needing an AeroCatch trunk lid solution. The latches are hinged on the screws and have more than 180° of rotation.
