However, factory motor mounts often do little to minimize engine deflection, resulting in lackluster throttle response, slower reaction times, and less accurate shifts in cars with manual transmissions. BMR Suspension’s Polyurethane Motor Mount Kit (MM460) is built to reduce engine deflection and is designed for street performance, drag racing, and road racing applications. BMR’s MM460 will not fit with an Oldsmobile 307 V8 engine, Buick Grand Nationals, T-Types, or any G-Body with a turbocharged V6 engine.
For hardcore drag and road racing applications where engine deflection needs to be eliminated, BMR Suspension recommends the MM461 Solid Motor Mount Kit. The MM461 is designed for max-effort application where NVH is not a concern.
