Product Information
The S65 engine features hydraulic tensioners which are ideal for high RPM engine operation. Compared to mechanical tensioners, hydraulic-style tensioners typically offer a longer service life with much better performance during high RPM operating and quick RPM changes. This is ideal for the S65 engine.
However, these components do wear out and will require replacement. This completely comprehensive A/C drive belt overhaul kit comes with everything you will need to service your BMW's A/C drive system.
Please note: Serpentine belt routing on the AC compressor/power steering side (blue) varies based on the power steering pump installed. The production date changeover was 5/15/2008 when the anticlockwise rotating power steering pump became standard equipment. Use the diagram below as a reference for proper belt routing on this system and identifying the style of pump installed. All post 5/15/2008 cars should have the anti-clockwise spinning power steering pump:
