Whether you’re building a show car or a performance vehicle, our conversion kits offer multiple stages to suit your power goals and vehicle usage. Plus, the process is fully reversible, allowing you to restore your vehicle to its original configuration if desired.

Note for Right-Hand Drive Vehicles:
Please advise if your vehicle is right-hand drive, as our adapter will not be compatible. A hydraulic clutch conversion will be required for these setups.

Important Notes for Installation

Transmission Compatibility

This mount kit is specifically designed for use with 02A 5-speed and 02J 5-speed VR6 transmissions only.

3.6L Engine Compatibility

Engines with a 3.6L displacement have a different rear block mounting surface. Please ensure you select the appropriate option when purchasing this kit.

All kits are made to order. While we strive to keep stock available, build times may vary based on order placement and typically require 5–15 days before shipping.

• Note: Please disregard the UPS-provided arrival date at checkout, as it does not account for build times. We greatly appreciate your patience!

MK1 Vehicles Older Than 1981

If your MK1 was manufactured prior to 1981, you may require 2 shims to prevent axle rubbing inside the spindle housing.

• The shims, included in the kit, should be placed between the outer CV joint and the inner wheel bearing for proper clearance.

Additional Considerations When Swapping

1. Reverse Switch Interference with 02J Transmissions

   • If using an 02J transmission with our manual cable conversion, you may encounter interference with the reverse switch.
   • Solution: When using the 02J shifter tower or transmission, you must cut off the mounting flange for the reverse switch to resolve the issue.

2. Axle Flange Compatibility with Late-Model 02J Transmissions

   • Late-model 02J transmissions (e.g., 1.8T and VR6) feature 108mm axle flanges, which are incompatible with our axles.
   • Solution: Replace the axle flanges using these part numbers:
     • Qty 2: 02A-409-355D
     • Qty 2: 02J-409-359
