Eurowise 1.8T, FSI, AEG, and TDI Engine Conversion Kit

The Eurowise 4-cylinder engine conversion kit provides everything you need to seamlessly install a 1.8T, FSI, ALH TDI, or AEG engine with an 02A transmission into an MK1 chassis. This kit is compatible with internal water pump MK4-style blocks and includes a manual timing belt tensioner to adapt the engine-side mount, making it the most complete kit on the market.

Kit Includes

1. Engine and Transmission Mounts
   • Specifically designed for MK1 chassis compatibility.

4. Axle Shafts and Hardware (for 02A 5-speed transmissions)
   • If using a different transmission, please note this when ordering.

   • Includes belt, stud, and spacer required for mounting the new engine bracket.

Important Notes for Installation

1. 02J Transmission Considerations:

   • If using an 02J transmission with our manual cable conversion, there may be interference with the reverse switch.
   • Solution: Cut off the mounting flange for the reverse switch when using the 02J shifter tower or transmission.

2. Axle Flange Compatibility with Late-Model 02J Transmissions:

   • Late-model 02J transmissions (e.g., 1.8T and VR6) feature 108mm axle flanges, which are incompatible with our axles.
   • Solution: Replace the axle flanges using the following parts:
     • Qty 2: 02A-409-355D
     • Qty 2: 02J-409-359

3. MK1 Vehicles Older Than 1981:

   • If your MK1 was manufactured prior to 1981, you may require 2 shims to prevent axle rubbing inside the spindle housing.
   • The shims, included in the kit, should be placed between the outer CV joint and the inner wheel bearing for proper clearance.

4. Powder Coat Finish:

   • Kits are powder-coated in satin black by default. Please contact us for custom color options.

5. Transmission Compatibility:

   • Designed for 02A 5-speed transmissions. For other transmissions, additional modifications may be required.
