The EXEDY Hyper Single clutch and flywheel kit is engineered to optimize the performance of the 1996–2010 Ford Mustang. Serving as a step below a multi-plate clutch, the EXEDY Hyper Single can transfer up to 506 lb-ft of torque while keeping the drivability reasonable. The famous EXEDY purple anodized clutch cover is made from a stiffer-than-factory forged aluminum, which results in no clamp load deflection and allows for a higher lever ratio, keeping pedal effort in check. The included chromoly steel flywheel is lighter than OEM for improved engine response and a more lightweight assembly. The sprung cerametallic 6-puck clutch disc is smaller and thinner than the OEM disc, making for quicker, easier shifting and less wear and tear on the transmission synchros.
