Audi B8/8.5 Spherical Rear Upper Shock Mounts (B8032A0/B8032A1)

The shock mounts are responsible for being the primary reaction surface for the shock absorber. OEM mounts are soft and flexible to shield the driver from the road. When the shock pushes against them, they deform in an unpredictable manner, reducing the ability of the shock absorber to control the suspension and keep the tires in contact with the ground. Rubber mounts try to do the job of the shock absorber, but without the predictability of the shock.

Our Spherical Upper Shock Mounts provide the perfect reaction surface for the shocks. They increase the efficiency of the shock, keeping the tires more firmly on the ground, allowing the shock to better control body roll, and decreasing the reaction time between driver inputs and vehicle response. The Spherical Upper Shock Mounts do not bind, reducing lateral forces and friction in the shock. Simply put, it lets the shock be the only shock in the system.

The Spherical Upper Shock Mounts are made from the highest grade materials. The body is made from high strength 7075 Aluminum and finished with a black anodized coating for corrosion resistance. The shock is attached to an oversized PTFE-lined stainless steel racing spec spherical bearing by way of a 17-4 PH stainless steel adapter sleeve for ultimate strength and reliability. They are fully rebuildable.

The OEM top mounts weigh 15.4 oz each. These weigh 10.4 oz each for a total weight savings of 10 oz (0.625 lbs or 0.283 kg).
