The Karbonius E46 M3 Carbon OEM Style Hood is a purpose-designed upgrade for the E46 M3 with motorsport-grade prepreg carbon fiber construction. Manufactured entirely from prepreg carbon fiber and cured in mold and autoclave oven, it faithfully reproduces the design of the original BMW M3 E46 hood, offering a lightweight, strong solution with exceptional finish.

Weighing just 4.9 kg — a 4.3 kg reduction compared to the OEM hood — this piece is manufactured in two parts (exterior and interior shell) that are bonded on a precision assembly bench using structural adhesive, with nutserts fixed to the laminate for long-term durability. The hood retains full compatibility with the original locks, kidneys, and grilles.

Its prepreg carbon construction enables significant weight reduction compared to the original hood, contributing to improved dynamic performance by reducing mass in one of the highest areas of the bodywork. The finish incorporates UV protection, preserving the carbon’s appearance and ensuring excellent durability against aging and environmental conditions.
