The hollow rubber spring helper provides a progressive spring rate, meaning when more weight is applied, it becomes stiffer to carry the excess weight. Without the Timbren Rubber Spring Helpers, excess weight in the rear will cause a rise in the front end as the rear end sags. This lift translates to less traction in the front tires, leading to headlights that shine too high and a reduction in overall steering. Replacing the factory bump stops with the Suspension Helper Spring Kit prevents the RAM 1500 from bottoming out, increasing ride quality loaded or unloaded.
