PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
UMI’s bolt-in rear coilover kit allows for full adjustability of ride height, spring rate, and damping for 1978-1988 GM G-Body vehicles. The kit includes a direct bolt-in upper mount reinforcement for a 2-½” racing coilover with T-Bar. The lower bracket, designed using FEA, bolts in using the standard trailing arm mounting hole and an additional reinforcement hole. It features a multi-position design for fine tuning of ride height and shock location. The Viking shock included is 19-way adjustable in both compression and rebound. Coilover springs are available in 110lb and 150lb rates for different applications. There is no cutting required, and the car can be returned to stock if desired. The kit also works with UMI P/N 3010 weld-on relocation brackets. Optional Spanner Wrench & Thrust Bearing Kit: The spanner wrench tool is used for adjusting vehicle height while the shock remains mounted. The thrust bearing kit is recommended for easier adjustments between the spring and spring seat attached to the shock. Optional Shock Tower Brace P/N 3055: Designed for additional chassis reinforcement by tying the rear shock towers together. It is designed to clear most popular exhaust systems but fitment with all exhaust systems is not guaranteed. Overall, UMI’s rear coilover kit offers adjustability, durability, and performance for GM G-Body vehicles.
