Product Information

Converts your E39's wheel hubs from 74.1mm to 72.56mm, ideal if you want to run different BMW wheels without having to modify them

For whatever reason, the E39 was given 74.1mm wheel hubs which don't match up with any other BMW. The standard for BMW wheel hub sizes is 72.56mm and most BMW wheels have been designed to fit the 72.6 wheel hub size. If you like to swap wheels or like the idea of using other BMW wheels on your E39 and don't want to have the hubs of your new wheels drilled out to fit consider converting your wheel hubs to 72.6.

How does this work exactly? Easy. The E39 and E60 have many similarities. The front wheel hub assemblies will bolt up the the steering knuckle of your E39 without any modification. The rear wheel bearings are the same on E39's and E60's. The only difference is the drive flange/wheel hub. However, these hubs have the same spline and sizing so they fit in the bearing as well as the axle shaft. The only difference is the wheel hub is 72.56mm vs 74.1mm.

This kit is ideal for anyone who likes to swap wheels frequently or is looking to buy aftermarket wheels where they do not offer E39 wheel hub sizing. This kit is also ideal in the fact that you will have the opportunity to replace all worn wheel bearings while doing this convenient upgrade.

About FAG

FAG (Fischers Aktien-Gesellschaft) was founded in Germany in 1883 after Friedrich Fischer designed the ball grinder. The machine allowed steel balls to be ground to an absolutely round state for the first time. FAG bearings have been used in cars since they were invented. They are an OE supplier for every car manufacturer on the planet, including Audi, BMW, Porsche, and VW.

Today FAG is a division of the Schaeffler Group, which also includes INA's and LuK full line of OE and OEM components for your European vehicle.
