If your planning on changing the downpipe on your 1.8T or 2.0T Volkswagen or Audi you will need to remove the factory downpipe clamp. Since the downpipe clamp is exposed to high temperature they are difficult to remove and often times get damaged. This can lead to an exhaust leak when you install you new downpipe. By using a new clamp you can insure a leak free seal and no exhaust leaks.
