Tuning Solution for DQ381 with factory 401 bootloader

After extensive testing TuneZilla is proud to release our solution for DSG equipped MK8 R and GTI models with the "locked" 401 Bootloader. This is a physical hardware change. By removing the mechatronic unit and swapping to our pre-flashed bootloader, users can enjoy more features not available from the factory.

Please Note: The TCU tune comes pre-loaded on the unit and was designed to work with our ECU tune. If you have another company's ECU tune, please ask them for a high TQ file as low TQ options can limit the performance of both ECU and TCU tune.

Un-tuned Bootloader units are not available. Running another company's TCU tune will void the warranty offered on our 301 Bootloader units.

The TuneZilla Bootloader comes preloaded with the following features and adjustments:

• Torque Limiters Set 800nm

• Two Step Launch Control 3500rpm No Kickdown / 4000rpm With Kickdown

• Faster Launch Control Take-Off Reaction

• Displaying Gear Number In D/S Mode

• Sailing Mode Off In Economic Mode

• Modified Clutch Thermal Management

• Optimized Clutch Cooling

• Max Clutch Pressure Values Up To 18-19bar

• Reduced Up/Down Shift Times

• Removed Safeguards That Slow Down Vehicle Acceleration, Including TP (throttle plate ) Closure Above 6500rpm

• 9x N 105 540 02 - Mechatronic TTY Bolts

• 1x 0GC 927 377 - Seal for Mechatronic Connector

• 1x 0GC 325 201 L - Outer Cover for Mech with Integrated Seal

• 4x N 910 327 02 - Bolts for Outer Cover

• 1x N 909 654 01 - Drain Bolt/Seal for Mech

• 1x N 043 809 2 - Seal for DSG Drain Plug

• 1x 0GC 325 183 A - DQ381 Filter

• 1x N 910 845 01 - O-Ring for Filter Housing

• 6x G 055 529 A2 - DSG Fluid

Approximate lead time may be 10-14 days.

Warranty Coverage:
The TZ Bootloader is covered for 1 year, or 10,000 miles (whichever occurs first) and is limited to the bootloader only. TuneZilla does not cover any hardware failure beyond the bootloader. Installing the TZ Bootloader may void your factory warranty on transmission components. In the event of a failure, TuneZilla may replace or repair the bootloader unit at their discretion. Warranty coverage will be void if a third party software has been flashed to the bootloader. TuneZilla is not responsible for labour costs associated with install or removal.
