Brake hydraulic hoses, or brake hoses, are the flexible hoses that connect the hard lines that run along the body or frame of your vehicle to the brake calipers. Brake hoses are unique in the fact they are designed and sized properly to move with the suspension as it travels up and down over bumps in the road.

Since brake hoses carry hydraulic fluid as well as transfer pressure to the brake calipers/wheel cylinders it is critical to inspect these hoses regularly for any types of fraying or external cracks. Traditional rubber hoses tend to shrink over time internally restricting the flow of pressure to the brake calipers. Because of this, It's recommended to replace brake hoses in matched pairs to ensure even braking performance at each corner of the axle.
