An ignition coil is a vital car component that produces high-voltage electricity to generate a spark at the spark plug, igniting the air-fuel mixture within the engine cylinder. When an ignition coil fails, it can cause engine misfires, rough idling, reduced power, an illuminated check engine light, difficulty starting the engine, and sometimes backfiring. These issues arise from weak or inconsistent sparks produced by the malfunctioning coil.

• Engine misfires: The most prominent sign, causing the engine to jerk or shudder, especially when accelerating, due to inconsistent combustion in one or more cylinders
• Rough idling: The engine vibrates or shakes noticeably when idling due to uneven firing of cylinders
• Decreased engine power: The car may feel sluggish or lack acceleration due to incomplete combustion

About Eldor

Eldor Corporation was founded by Pasquale Forte in a garage in the small centre of Orsenigo, in Brianza area, not far from the lakes in Northern Italy. The company was specialized in consumer electronics, developing high tension transformers for radio and television sets. In the late 1980s, Eldor opened up to the world: it started to export products and opened sales branches in USA, Hong Kong and UK. In 2009, Eldor won the “Volkswagen Group Award”, the first Italian company in Italy to receive an award from Volkswagen for the quality of its products.
