Product Information

The shock and strut assemblies on your VW are critical to its suspension system as they are largely responsible for its ride quality. As the vehicle rides over bumps and imperfections in the road, the shocks and struts absorb these vibrations ensuring a comfortable ride. Shocks and struts can typically wear out over time and mileage and will become unable to perform as they did new. Typically signs of a fault shock or strut would be a bouncier than normal suspension, harsh ride, and/or physical fluid leaks that can be found externally on the body of the shock absorbers. Whenever you replace shocks and struts, FCP Euro always recommends inspecting the bump stops, bellows, upper mounts, and spring seats and replace as necessary.

Suspension Strut and Shock Absorber Assembly Kit

A shock absorber kit is a set of replacement components designed to restore a vehicle's suspension system. It typically includes shock absorbers along with essential parts like mounting hardware and seals. These components work together to dampen the suspension by controlling the rebounding motion of the springs. Signs of a failing shock absorber include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll during cornering, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and sometimes visible fluid leaks from the shock.
