Mounting on a 2002 Harley Davidson STDI
Just installed the Auto Meter 19300 on my 2002 HD STDI with mini ape hangers. The mounting cost about $60.00. Two of the Turning House 1 1/4 inch bar clamps $12.00, Galvanized steel flat bar 1 in wide x 1/8 in thick x what ever length, I used 7 1/2 inches of the flat bar $6.00, the Auto Meter 19243 tachometer mount. I made a paper mock-up of the flat bar which allowed me to use the 1 in flat bar, carefully drilled the mounting holes for the bar clamps and the Auto Meter tach mount, 5/16 bolts, washer and nuts to attach flat bar, every thing painted, check the pictures.

Our standard tachometers will not work in this application. Check our Pro Cycle line for options.

This will work on the bike if you have a bracket that will fit the gauge size. However we do not sell a bracket for bikes to make this work. For further assistance please call 866-248-6356.

I am installing the 3 3/8 579-017 tach on a 2010 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 custom. Is the ignition pulse one or two? Can seem to find an answer. Your help would be great

Hello! You will need to bench test the unit with it getting a signal from the bike. If the bike is not reading correctly while set to a 2 pulse, you will simply need to cut the brown wire in order to make it a 1 pulse to correct the reading on the tachometer.

I just installed it ... When IG S / W is turned off, the gauge shows around 400 RPM. The gauge shows 0 RPM when turning the IG on and off again. The gauge does not indicate more than 800 RPM when the engine is running. 1990y FXR Dyna-S Dual Fire system.

I have a 2018 Harley Road King and I need a tachometer that reads 1/2 pulse per RPM. I was going to use the 19300 tach (3 3/4) and connect the tachometer signal wire to the primary front cylinder wire on the coil. I noticed your tach uses 1 or 2 pulse.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the recent model year Harley's use a CanBus system and we do not have any gauges that will work on that system.

Hi Randy, thank you so much for contacting us. This tach is indeed water resistant. For mounting, we've had very good luck with the mounts available through Yankee Engineuity and Cycle Performance. Here's a couple of links to check out:

I am building a 1946 ford woody with a rough supercharged motor. The colors of the dial are close to the OEM instruments on the dash. Will the # 19300 tach work with the electronics for the car?
