Will this work on a magneto ignition (1969 Sportster)?

This will not work on the older magneto style ignitions. We believe those model years had a mechanical drive tachometer. We don't offer any mechanical drive tachometers, but there are others that do in the aftermarket segment.

Your 2015 Sportster has Harley-Davidson's newer CAN based electrical system. We don't recommend use of our products with this system.

Thank you for your inquiry. This tachometer will connect to either the front or rear coil negative for a tach signal, in addition to connecting to power and ground on your Fat Boy. You will need to get a billet bracket for this tach. Try J&P Cycle.

Thank you for your question. You will need to supply some type of mounting bracket to install the gauge in, but it will certainly work with an '03 Fat Boy.
