You can always send the gauge back into us and we can add the hours to the unit. There is a $25 charge plus shipping back to you but we can do this as long as you state the hours needed.

Is there a way to make hour meter only count when motor is running?

Thank you for your question. The hourmeter is designed to only count when it is receiving a reading from the engine. If the motor is not running, the hourmeter will not count.

Hi Salva, thank you for the question. The hourmeter is basically like an odometer and cannot be reset. You can send the tachometer in for service and we can give you an estimate on a complete replacement tachometer, which would start at 0 hours.
