1 1/2 inch oil pressure gauge
Custom mounted the gauge on my motorcycle. It worked fine for a 1000 miles then the needle would not return to 0 after the engine shut down but rather stayed at 45 psi. It now pegs out at 100 psi with the engine running. I might buy another one but if it fails or does the same thing, it will be the last.

Is this gauge safe to be mounted under the hood to the regulator? Just wondering about heat and whatever it's filled with. Thanks,

Thank you for contacting us. I would say it’s built to be direct engine mounted in the engine compartment, as opposed to regulator. Regulator would be more specific to a 15 psi fuel pressure. This is 100 psi so it can be used for oil pressure, fuel injection (fuel rail), etc.

Hi Dan,
This 2174 does not come with a bracket. It is designed to be screwed directly into the pressure port under hood.

Hi Smokie, thank you so much for the question. Our 1.5 inch Direct Mount gauges feature an 1/8" NPT male fitting off the back.
