Perfect Fit...Less the orange needle
Came with everything for installation. Uses a plastic retaining backing vs the metal u-clip that the Auto Gauge versions come with. Easy instal and two options for connections. One with o-ring style or you can create a 3 pronged connector. Retaining mounting nuts are circular for a quick disconnect or finger tightening.

This gauge can certainly be used in your Mustang. We are not sure of fitment where you want to mount the gauge. It requires a 2-1/16" hole and a depth of about 2-1/2".

When I type "OIL PRESSURE GAUGE ELECTRIC" into your web page search engine, this gauge does not come up. Why not? Is it an electric oil pressure gauge?

Autometer.coms search function leaves something to be desired. They list their electric gauges as "Air-core", there's an icon next to the "Type: Air-Core" in the gauge specs to indicate that it IS electric. I have this gauge, works great

Thank you for your question. The Z series gauges are not made for outdoor use. If you wanted a weather resistant gauge, our marine gauges are sealed for water resistance and use UV reflecting paint. There is also the Extreme Environment series which are waterproof. Please note, with marine gauges, they do not include sending units so you will need to purchase them separately.

Hi, I have just purchased this gauge and realize that I need will to remote mount the sender unit because of it's size. Which braided hose kit is suitable for this gauge sender?
1
answer
Answer this Question
Zach from AutoMeter · 6 years ago
Thank you for your question. We offer three different lengths of braided line (3ft, 4ft, and 6ft), all of which can be used for your application. Typically, for remote mounting the shorter line is better for the application, so we recommend part #3227.

Can I use sending unit 2246 with this gauge
1
answer
Answer this Question
Matt from AutoMeter · 7 years ago
Hi Donny, thank you for connecting with us. The 2246 will not work with this gauge. Our Short Sweep Electric gauges require the 2242, which is a resistance based sender and is included when you purchase a gauge new. The 2246 is voltage based and you'll find this style in our full sweep electric pressure gauges.
