Running too lean while enjoying spirited driving in your vehicle is one of the leading causes of expensive engine damage. AutoMeter’s Narrowband Air/Fuel Gauges pair with older Oxygen Sensors to warn of lean burn conditions under heavy engine load. Connects directly to the factory O2 sensor on many applications, or uses the AutoMeter 2244 Narrowband O2 sensor. Not compatible with 5 wire air/fuel sensors.

Does this gauge measure in Lambda? I’m looking for a gauge for carb tuning using e85 so not your typical gas afr’s.

This unit will not display any values as it only sweeps from Lean to Rich on the scale. I would recommend looking into one of our wideband gauges to achieve what you are looking for.

Hi Team, I have a 1973 Chrysler valiant with a 360 V8 approx. 550 Hp. I am fitting some JSR extractors that have ports in both sides for AFR. Can you please advise what sensors I will require and will 2 sensors connect to this Sport Comp 2 AFR guage.

Hi Lewy, thank you so much for contacting us. This gauge is designed to work with older, narrowband style O2 sensors. You would need to use two gauges and two sensors to read both sides of the engine simultaneously, but due to the limitations of those narrowband sensors, we probably wouldn't recommend this setup for your application.
To do any tuning and to have an actual reading of your engine's AFRs, you really want to be using a Wideband Air/Fuel gauge. This unit here includes the correct wideband oxygen sensor and provides exponentially more accurate readings than any narrowband could:

To monitor both sides of the engine you'd still need to use two gauges, though you could also look at something like this unit from our sister company Innovate Motorsports:

Hi Jim, thank you so much for contacting us. You can hook this gauge up to the output of either pre-catalyst oxygen sensor. Bear in mind, while this will give you an idea of rich.lean operation at WOT, the old style sensors like that lack the resolution necessary to be very useful as a tuning tool or at lower engine loads/idle.
