will this unit work on a 1995 Kenworth T600? my factory gauge is failing and this seems to be a common problem. I am trying to find a factory replacement with no luck. Can I use my factory sensor?

This speedometer should work with any 2 or 3 wire VSS.

I calibrated my speedo I grounded the speedo the same place as in my last transmission but the speedo still bounces what ground should I check all the rest of the gauges work

The speedometer should be grounded away from the tachometer to a chassis ground. From there it would simply need to be calibrated through the 2mile drive we list in our instructions. For further assistance please give our tech support a call at 866-248-6357.

Thank you for your question. None of our instruments are made for specific vehicle applications. This gauge would certainly be compatible with your application, it will just need 12v power, a ground, and a connection to some type of VSS which your vehicle likely already has.

I bought a volkswagen that has full set of these gages except for tach which I will buy , but my question is the speedometer didn’t come with plug for back that connects wires , but is there a sensor set up to make this work on my volkswagen, he did

Thank you for your question. If you have a VSS you can certainly hook that up directly to the speedometer and you can calibrate it to be compatible. If you have a manual transmission, you may need one of our speed sensors such as our #5291 or #5292. Thank you for your question. If you have an electronic VSS you will not need anything. If you do not you will need an electronic vss to install on your transmission. We offer speed sensors #5291, 5292 5293, which vary based on the transmission they are made to work with.

Hi, does this Speedo require an 8 or 16 pulse sender for an older transmission conversion from cable to electronic? (Torqueflite A-904) Would I use part #5293 or #5291? Thanks.

Thank you for your inquiry. The 4889 will work with pretty much any speed sensor, the higher the number of pulses, the better the operation. We advise the 5291.
