Product 6171 DESCRIPTION:
Mirroring the functions of AutoMeter’s Street Wideband, the Digital Stepper Motor Wideband provides the most important functions necessary to make sure you’re extracting the most power possible, safely. An analog needle display integrates seamlessly with other gauges and easily illustrates rate of change as well as the actual value. Our advanced auto calibration system automatically calibrates your gauge on every startup to assure you of the highest degree of accuracy over the entire lifespan of your sensor (no free air calibration is ever necessary). Designed for gasoline applications, this wideband gauge provides the same degree of accuracy and response as the Pro version, but at a reduced cost. Data logging output is included for one wire or two wire systems. Our specially designed O2 sensor and wiring harness are included for ease of installation.

I have a roadrace 69 boss 302 mustang. Has a Holley 850 cfm fully adjustable race carb. Which of these AFR wideband gauges will allow me to fine tune without a computer ? 6178 or 6171 ?

Does this gauge also connect back to the ECU on a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 so the AFR is visible to the computer and part of the data logging when using HPTuners? This is my setup so I want to make sure it can it is visible to tuning software. Thx.

Thank you for your inquiry. This gauge has a 0 to 4 volt output than can send data to an engine management or data acquisition system.

Curious if I have a 383 stroker with a carb, is this a necessary gauge for a carb’d motor?

Thank you for your question. It would not be considered necessary, but it can still be used. You may not be able to fine tune it as much as you would an electric system, but you can certainly still use it for some slight tuning on a carb application.

I recently bought an AutoMeter Wideband Gauge #6171 at Ebay , but the needle in the gauge is not marking zero. All others that are for sale on eBay have the needle at zero. Could it be that the gauge is damaged? Thanks for all your attention.

Thank you for your question. With the gauge not hooked up at all, it is not uncommon for the gauges to not be on zero. With power applied, the gauge should go to zero.

Hi Thom, thank you so much for contacting us. Functionally, these are all basically the same. They use the same O2 sensor and the same basic meter movement. The differences are all cosmetic.
3370:
Opaque dial, incandescent bulb lighting, floods around the edge of the dial, brushed bezel
3670:
White LED "through the dial" back lighting for excellent visibility, lit pointer, brushed bezel
3870:
Green LED "through the dial" back lighting for excellent visibility, lit pointer, mid polished bezel (shiny but not full chrome)
6171:
Blue LED "through the dial" back lighting for excellent visibility, lit pointer, mid polished bezel (shiny but not full chrome)
