Product 6970 DESCRIPTION:
An ultra high precision digital gauge engineered for diesel applications but also perfect on higher boost gasoline engines. Using AutoMeter’s advanced 1/8” NPT solid state pressure transducer, this gauge provides the ultimate in accuracy for forced induction applications producing from 5-60 psi. A direct plug in wiring harness is included for ease of installation. Digital Boost/Vacuum gauges are also available for gasoline or lower boost applications.

Does this gauge read boost through the OBD2? I have a boost fooler on my 7.3 and if it reads through the map sensor it will only read 23 PSI

Hi Cody, thank you for the question. In some cases, yes, but it would depend on which gauges you have. Some styles will use the same sender and harness, but others will require a rewire with the sender included with the digital series. It says 5-60psi, does that mean it doesn't read anything under 5psi, or when its lower than 5 it will always display 5psi. For example at idle my truck isn't making any boost. So will it display 5psi or nothing?

Hi there, thank you for the question. Our 5-60 psi Digital Boost gauge will actually read 0 psi until it reaches 5 psi. As long as the pressure is at 5 psi or higher, it will display the proper boost. Once it drops to 4.9 psi or less, it will revert back to reading 0 psi on the gauge.

Would I be able to connect the lighting into my factory dimmer switch?

Thank you so much for contacting us. These digital gauges actually have a fixed dimming level that is triggered when the light wire on the gauge senses power. As such, we'd recommend connecting the light wire to the headlight switch. When power is engaged, the gauge will sense it and automatically dim the display to a fixed level. At that time, it will also light up the Boost label on the front of the gauge so it is easily identifiable in the dark (this is especially useful if you've got a few digital gauges all together). I have this gauge and it’s flashes on 60 psi and some of the leds don’t work, is this gauge warrantied or do I need to buy a new one
