DO THE GAUGES MOUNT TO THE BEZEL THEN THE BEZEL BOLTS IN?

Hello,
That is correct. The gauges are a press fit into the panel and then the panel would bolt into the dash.

I have a 1971 Camaro and wish to replace the original instruments and cover. Does this kit require use of the original cluster plastic mold or do the gauges attach directly to the carrier?

Thank you so much for contacting us. You will not need the factory instrument cluster or it's cover. This panel bolts in place of the existing unit. Hope this helps!
