Transmission fluid temperature is the single biggest contributing factor to the lifespan of your automatic transmission. Having an accurate, realtime measurement allows you to know when to downshift or when to take your foot out of it. Whether you’re towing or simply trying to harness the power of a built or boosted motor, AutoMeter’s Trans Temp Gauge will give you the most accurate possible measurement for the exact temp of your trans fluid. A single wire 1/8” NPT temperature sender included to be installed in your transmission, transmission pan or with an optional transmission cooler line manifold is available for easy installation into a transmission cooler hard line.

I have this Phantom II Trans Temp gauge in my buggy and its that's not working. I ground out the sensor wire & it pegs out so that tells me it needs a new sensor. Right or wrong ? Can you tell me what sensor I need

Thank you so much for contacting us. While your test does lead me to believe your gauge is fine, I'd double check that your sending unit has a good path to ground. Teflon tape on the threads will keep the sending unit from finding ground and cause the gauge to read low or not at all. Those sending units tend to be pretty bulletproof, but if you do indeed need a new one, you can find the replacement here:
