Audi Oil Check Valve Service Kit
The Audi 4.2L engines are known for timing chain issues and one of those issues is timing chain rattle on engine warm-up. The oil check valves are known to become faulty over time by sticking open resulting in oil not being able to stay in the cylinder heads when the vehicle is shut off. When this happens the next start-up of your vehicle will not have the proper oil supplied to the cylinder heads and timing chain guides which causes the rattling noise.
Before performing this Oil Check Valve Service we recommend you check to make sure the timing chain guides are still intact. If your timing chain guides are in good condition this kit can repair the rattling noises.
This Kit Includes:
- Intake Manifold Gaskets
- Oil Filter Housing O-Rings
- Valley Oil Pan Gasket
- Oil Check Valves
- Oil Spray Valve
- Injector O-Rings
- G13 Coolant
We recommend performing an oil change after this repair so make sure you add an Oil Change Service to your cart! You may also be interested in a Pro-Line Engine Flush before performing your oil change.
Note: This kit includes G13 Coolant because you will be removing some coolant lines. However, you may only lose a little bit of coolant but we want to make sure you have it to top off your vehicle's cooling system! Also, you will be removing bank 1 & bank 2 fuel injectors so we included new fuel injector o-rings because once removed you should never reuse them.
