Its main function is to hold the transmission in place, reduce vibrations, and prevent excessive movement during operation. The rubber or polyurethane part helps absorb vibrations and shocks from the engine and road, improving ride quality and protecting the transmission.

• Clunking or Banging Noises: When the transmission mount is damaged, you may hear clunking or banging sounds during gear changes or when accelerating/decelerating.
• Excessive Vibrations: One of the primary signs of a failing transmission mount is increased vibrations or rattling, especially when the vehicle is idling or during acceleration. As the mount loses its ability to absorb shocks, vibrations can be felt inside the cabin.
• Engine Misalignment: As the transmission mount also plays a role in maintaining proper alignment between the engine and transmission, a broken mount can cause misalignment issues, especially in front wheel drive configurations.
