Disc brake caliper repair kits typically consist of seals, dust boots, and miscellaneous hardware that is often overlooked but critical to proper brake caliper operation. If these caliper components are damaged, or if uneven brake pad wear is observed, a new caliper repair kit should be installed. Fresh seals and dust boots should also be installed on every caliper rebuild. Higher mileage calipers, calipers with unknown service history, or brake systems with poor brake fluid conditions can also benefit from the components in a brake caliper repair kit.
