Product Information
Your BMW's drive shaft flex joint is a buffer between the transmission output shaft and the drive shaft. Bolted in between, this disc allows for some play in the drive train and also absorbs vibration for a more comfortable ride. The one downside to this design is drive shaft flex discs are prone to cracking and tearing. A failed drive shaft flex disc will make a lot of noise while accelerating and you will also feel vibration in the drive train.
