US SPEC CATA 3.0 TDI V6 VW Touareg 7L / Audi Q7 EGR and Cooler Blanking Kit
Darkside EGR Blanking Kit for US SPEC CATA 3.0 TDI V6 VW Touareg 7L / Audi Q7
This EGR Blanking Kit removes the EGR system on US Spec CATA 3.0 TDI V6 diesel engines.
Please Note:
Once blanked off the vehicles ECU will no longer get a signal from the EGR Valve causing the emissions workshop light to appear on the dashboard. We can remove this by reprogramming the EGR software on the ECU.
We supply 2 blanking plates to blank both the exhaust and inlet side. Some people may find it easier just to install 1 or the other depending on the vehicle and other work been carried out.
Disables Problematic EGR
Additional EGR Cooler:
We have found that the US Spec CATA 3.0 TDI's have an additional EGR Cooler, at the moment our kit does not remove this and only removes the primary cooler. We are confident that the secondary EGR cooler can be left in place and the EGR pipes are able to be removed from the cooler. Coolant will still flow freely however if you wish to remove the secondary cooler you will need to find a suitable joiner to do so.
