Through 4+ years of research on hundreds of vehicles, we’ve observed that front and rear driveshaft flex dust boots often tear or separate due to the slight angle change caused by a subframe drop. While not always required, installing a transmission drop kit can significantly help maintain correct driveline angles, extend the life of rubber boots, and in some cases, reduce drivetrain vibrations, particularly on higher-mileage vehicles with worn driveshaft joints.
