Developed in-house, IE engineers are equipped with industry-leading tuning technology to completely reverse engineer the factory mapping and safely modify it to maximize performance. Years of professional tuning high-powered race vehicles and intimate knowledge of the VW & Audi engines results in a wicked fast car on the street or the track. Your new software tune is easily uploaded to your factory installed ECU (engine control module) without touching a wrench in your own driveway. Multiple tunes are available to match your stock or installed aftermarket hardware.
2016+ model notes: Tuning available for 2008 - 2016 ECUs with press-fit supercharger pulleys only. Some late model 2016 3.0Ts may be equipped with a 4 bolt supercharger pulley, this is not currently supported and is coming soon. Verify your pulley type before ordering.
IE STAGE 1 The IE Stage 1 C7 A6 3.0T tune delivers an aggressive power upgrade without having to install any hardware modifications. Perfect for customers looking for a big jump in power without adding any additional hardware. In a matter of minutes, the vehicle will be much more enjoyable to drive with a massive boost in performance. IE STAGE 2 SINGLE PULLEY The IE Stage 2 Tune for C7 A6 recalibrates the ECU to take advantage of a smaller diameter supercharger pulley. This faster supercharger speed allows more airflow and higher boost pressures. The result is a powerful engine with a significant increase in power and torque across the rev range. Bottom end torque especially is increased. Files are available from American 91 octane up to Sunoco GT260+ 104 Octane Unleaded. A heat exchanger upgrade is recommended at this stage, but not required.
IE STAGE 2 DOUBLE PULLEY
Ready to unleash serious power? IE's Stage 2 Double Pulley ECU calibration is for owners running both the smaller supercharger charger pulley along with an additional larger crank pulley. These two pulley's combined create the optimal supercharger ratio resulting in up to 534HP and 520TQ! Available in 91, 93, 100, and 104 octanes along with a specialty E40 (pump plus E85 mixed) blend. A heat exchanger is required for this modification. If you intend to use the E40 blend, a high-pressure fuel pump upgrade is also required.
IE's pump fuel 91/93 tunes are specially calibrated with safe air to fuel mixtures which inhibit "knocking". These mixtures also provide cooler exhaust gas temperature and thus are safer for the 3.0T's fragile catalytic converters then many competition tunes.
E40 ETHANOL FUEL BLEND (DUAL PULLEY & ABOVE)
The IE Stage 2 Dual Pulley Tune offers you tons of power potential on multiple octanes options including support for E40. The C7 A6 factory fuel system cannot safely support the amount of fuel needed for full E85 even with an HPFP upgrade, however, it can support a maximum blend of ethanol to E40. E40 is an ethanol mix of E85 with regular pump 91/93 fuel (about 2/5ths E85 and 3/5ths 91/93 with E10 premium gas). To run this fuel safely, it must be pre-mixed and verified before filling into an empty tank. You can read our blog article on how to safely blend ethanol HERE.

IE FLASH WIZARD SOFTWARE
IE's own easy to use Flash Wizard Software allows the IE POWERlink Tool to communicate with your vehicle's ECU to flash software tunes, upgrade, update, data log, or read/write codes. The software download is included with your tune/cable purchase and operates on any Windows 7+ powered laptop or tablet. The software is very simple to use and once installed will walk you through the fast tuning process to deliver instant horsepower.
DYNOMETER OPTIMIZED After completely reverse engineering the factory ECU, our engineers use our in-house Dynapack DP42 dynamometer to perform repeated runs to test each change that is made to the software and confirm drivability in any situation. This ensures IE performance software delivers massive horsepower and torque increases across the entire powerband. Using our in-house dyno and advanced tuning tools, IE engineers have fully optimized every aspect of the factory ECU mapping on many different vehicles. This produces a tune that retains all factory like driving and safety protocols when needed, and an intense surge of power when you want it.
REMOVED SPEED LIMITER The factory ECU speed limiter has been removed to make sure the increased power and torque can be used to its full potential on straightaways and drag strips.
INCREASED REV LIMIT With the significant power increase, the rev limiter is also increased to allow a wider powerband on all IE Audi S4 files. By increasing the rev limit, you gain a perfect match for the increased performance available from your new IE performance software tune.
IMPROVED THROTTLE RESPONSE To further increase the responsive feel of the car, IE engineers have carefully adjusted the throttle sensitivity. This offers a more connected feeling to your car with plenty of power available right beneath your foot.
OPTIMIZED FUELING All IE tunes have been adjusted to run as economically as possible, dialing in air/fuel ratios to exactly where they need to be. With an IE performance ECU flash, it is common to see increased fuel economy under cruising and part-throttle driving.
