Ignition Ground Harness Kit w Hardware and Terminal Tool

This kit is designed to repair damaged ignition coil grounds or clean up messy wiring on 1.8T or 2.0T Gen 3 / Gen 4 engines.

The ignition grounds on GEN 3 and GEN 4 engines often get damaged and can be a pain to deal with. To properly remove these grounds you need a thin 10 mm wrench. Because most people don’t have this specialty tool to hold the bolt, the ground eyelets often get damaged during spark plug and ignition coil changes.

This Ignition Ground Kit can replace the damaged ground wires on your 1.8T or 2.0T VW or Audi engine. This kit can also help if the threads have been damaged on the bolts that hold your ignition coils down. The ignition coil bolts ground each coil to the valve cover. Damage to these threads loosens the connection and prevents a strong ground point.

*IMPORTANT

Do not order until you’ve checked your vehicle. Your vehicle may have one of two possible connectors. If you order the incorrect harness, the wires will NOT secure in the connectors properly. See images for a side-by-side comparison of the possible connectors. No disassembly is required—only a visual inspection.
